Birth Control

Birth Control Consultation

There are many options for birth control out there! Schedule to meet with one of our practitioners for a birth control consultation to discuss the best fit for you. Our providers can prescribe oral birth control, Depo-Provera injections, and vaginal rings, like the NuvaRing. They are also trained to insert Intrauterine Devices or IUD’s. At this time, our facility offers only the Liletta IUD, but can send a referral to another office if you’re interested in a different brand of IUD, or even the arm implant, Nexplanon.

Information on Birth Control Methods

  • Oral Birth Control: These pills use a small amount of synthetic hormone which is released to inhibit the body’s natural cyclical process. This hormonal contraceptive stops the body from ovulating.
  • Nuva Ring: This ring is a small, flexible piece of plastic that you insert into the vagina to prevent pregnancy. It is left in the vagina for 3 weeks and then taken out for a 1 week break before a new one is inserted.
  • Contraceptive injection (Depo-Provera): This injection releases the hormone progesterone into your bloodstream to prevent pregnancy. It is administered every 3 months.

Young Women

Maturation can often cause a young woman distress. Knowing what is happening while maturing can be a great comfort for the youth. our practitioners can also work with young women struggling with anxiety, depression, or eating disorders. if your child is struggling, have them come in and meet one of our caring practitioners to receive help.

Premarital Exams

We want to educate woman about their answer any questions or concerns.

This service is designed for women getting married who would like a physical exam and the opportunity to ask any questions. This exam includes a breast exam and a pelvic exam if desired. Our practitioners are trained to help patients prepare to become sexually active as well as discuss forms of birth control.

Breast Exams

Regular breast exams are important to every woman’s health.

You should schedule breast exams once a year to once every three years. After turning 40, it is suggested that breast exams should be done at least once a year. If there is a history of breast cancer in your family there may be a need for more regular breast exams.
